IIT invites qualified applicants for a postdoctoral position in complex network analysis of brain structural and functional connectivity at the Center for Neuroscience and Cognitive Systems of IIT in Trento.
We invite applications for a PostDoctoral position (duration 2 years) focusing on the study of brain functional and structural connectivity by complex network analysis. Specifically, we intend to develop and apply advanced methods to investigate topological aspects of brain networks.
Areas of interest include:
- Modular structure of brain connectivity
- Generative models
- Evolution of functional resting state networks
- Identification of network alterations in neurological and psychiatric conditions
The successful applicant will work in Rovereto (TN), at the Center for Neuroscience and Cognitive Systems, where she/he will have access to excellent computational facilities and will have the opportunity to interact with experimentalists working with neuroimaging methods (fMRI, sMRI, MEG, NIRS, EEG).
The ideal candidate has a Bachelor/MS in Physics, a PhD in Physics, Computer Science, Neuroimaging or related disciplines, and a proven record in graph theory and complex network analysis as applied to the study of brain networks. Advanced programming skills, including MathLab, C++ and Python are essential. Fluency in English is a requirement.
Salary is internationally competitive and commensurate with the candidate’s experience.
